In the old-school gaming community, there are many folks who are opposed to the idea of ducks in fantasy RPGs. A duck never made a journey to destroy a ring nor traveled in the company of an albino sorcerer with a hellish rune blade. Still, ducks as a fantasy race go back to the early days of roleplaying, granted, not the very beginning, but not far off. Ducks first appeared in RuneQuest in 1977. That’s only three years after the publication of Dungeons & Dragons, for those keeping track. That gives ducks a longer pedigree in gaming than many monsters traditionally associated with table top roleplaying! Now you can bring the race of ducks to OSE.
