In In Calamity's Wake , the Cryptdiggers arrive in Ybalon, a distant isthmus, following an unexplained 'Calamity'. A series of storms and volcanic eruptions rocked Ybalon. When the skies cleared of storm clouds and ash, the survivors found the landscape changed: forests were flattened, mountain ranges shattered. And at the southern border? A mysterious, perfectly conical volcano.

The Cryptdiggers then adventure through Ybalon, exploring the newly formed landscapes, facing off against terrifying monsters, venturing into strange dungeons and eventually facing off against the mythic heroes of Ybalon's history.

In Calamity's Wake is inspired by the Epic of Ibálong and other tales of Filipino mythology, and was written and created by Arisia Santiago. The art was provided by long-time Best Left Buried artist Ben Brown, and the manuscript was edited by Vi Huntsman.
